| Our HUD-certified homeownership counselors will discuss an overview of purchasing your first home and the steps you need to take to prepare. Topics will also include: Renting vs. owning Understanding credit and budgeting The Homebuying process and who's involved Affordability First time buyer grant eligibility Learn how to avoid costly mistakes Explanation of the closing process Earn your Certificate of Completion (required for many down payment assistance programs and by some lenders) by completing all the required steps in our Homebuyer Program, including this class.
